emphasis will be on oral skills and vocabulary will be animals,
family,
colors, etc.
TEENS (grades 7 — 12)
Students will develop competence in reading and writing French through
the Bob Jones French text and work book. This text centers around a

Classes will meet weekly and there will be homework assignments and

HISTORY (grades 7-12)
Students may participate in one-semester units of a designated history
era. Suggestions include: Creation to Greece, Greece & Rome, Middle
Ages, Renaissance, Reformation, Colonial America, America's Federal
Period (American Government), American Expansion, Oklahoma History,
Modern World History, or A Providential View of America's History
(survey class of God's plan and direction of the USA.) The students
will build a notebook on the topic from lectures, reading assignments,
maps, and individual study and reports.
-
SPEECH (grades 7-12)
Developing poise and confidence in speaking is a vital element in
preparing our children to fulfill the Great Commission. The text is The
Public Speaking Handbook by Susan Benjamin. This book is well suited to
home-school groups. While it eliminates the busy work assignments of
most speech texts, it covers the basic components of good communication
and varied types of speeches.
-
LITERATURE
Studying a book is different (and slower) than reading a book. It
involves discussing and analyzing the content from a Godly perspective.
Students will develop a notebook which contains information on the
author, historical background, and notes on the literary elements for
each chapter.
